“I’m Daniel Montero, a Biology teacher and video game developer with Unity. For many years I have dedicated my life to teaching, a field that has taught me the value of perseverance, empathy, and continuous learning.
My curiosity about understanding how things work (from living organisms to lines of code) has led me to explore new paths within the world of development. Learning has always been one of the guiding threads of my life: I studied Biology, specializing in Molecular Biology, passed the competitive exams, and obtained my position as a high school teacher. I also learned English and French. I have also dedicated time to music, playing guitar in several rock bands, and I’ve developed an interest, secondarily, in the world of drawing and animation, especially traditional 2D animation.
A few years ago, I discovered programming and the world of video game development, and since then I have devoted much of my time to self-learning, especially (but not exclusively) C# and Unity. I am currently in the second year of the Higher Vocational Training course in Multiplatform Application Development (DAM), where I continue to expand my knowledge and skills in the development world.
To this day, I have published a few games on Google Play and itch.io and I am looking to join video game projects as a programmer in order to complete the FCT internship for the Higher Degree in Multiplatform Application Development (DAM) and, why not, to become a permanent part of the project.”
